Where do these hoses go?

I have a 1997 LS 650 Savage..Removed the fuel tank..
to change the spark plug at 8,000 miles. Where do the two small hoses that come from the carb. go? They seem to go under the tank.. they look as if they were pluged on to something. Are they vent hoses?
